Located on the beautiful sandy beaches of Österlen in South Sweden, this simple summer house was designed by Swedish architect Jonas Lindvall. The slab-like, flat roofed building keeps a low profile in the surrounding forest and sand dunes by laying low, and using materials and colors that are characteristic of the location.
The house features a linear floor plan; an open space kitchen and living room occupies one side of the building, while the bedroom and bathroom are on the other. All rooms open up to the deck and the beach via large glass sliding doors.
Jonas Lindvall is one of the most prominent and renowned contemporary Swedish architects. Being a prolific furniture and interior designer as well, he has created numerous masterpieces that reflect his simple, modernist approach, which always stem from traditional Scandinavian woodworking and craftsmanship.
