The No. 1 sofa and armchair were designed by Danish modernist Børge Mogensen for the Fredericia company. It was actually the first product Mogensen created as head designer of Fredericia, hence the name of the product. Introduced in 1955, the handmade furniture instantly became the new flagship product for the Danish high-end company, and has become an icon of Danish modernist design since then.
